Debbie Halvorson - GovState Alumna, former US Congress Woman, and Distinguished Awardee

的 Honorable Debbie Halvorson was the 1st Woman Illinois Senate Majority Leader in the Illinois State Legislature where she served for 12 years. She went on to serve in the US Congress in Washington, DC for two years.

She earned her Board of Governors (BOG) from GovState in 2001 and her Master in Communications and Training from GovState in 2003.

She is past president of the Supply Chain Innovation Network and has been President of American Eagle Logistics for more than 10 years. She was an adjunct for GovState for five years and served on the Gala Committee for the Governors State University Presidential Investiture Gala in 2021.

Interdisciplinary Studies 校友 Event

INLD 10 Year Celebration of 校友, Faculty and Students

In celebration of its 10th year of creating educational and non-profit leaders, the Interdisciplinary Leadership Doctorate (INLD) Program at GSU hosted a 3-day event on March 3-5, 2022. During the three days, they held a research symposium to support graduate 学生s, 接待一位校友, 学生, and faculty networking event where the GSU community was able to meet connect and engage with the full INLD community, and organized a program meeting where alumni offered professional and academic insight to current 学生s, and faculty provided additional support and guidance to current 学生s as they matriculate through the program.
